Restless leg syndrome is characterized by unpleasant sensations in the legs or feet that usually occur at night. Insomnia could also be caused by some medical conditions. Medications for some illness like heart diseases, arthritis, hypertension or Parkinson’s diseases could cause sleep disorders. Emotional problems, depression, anxiety and stress could also cause insomnia.
The effects of insomnia could impact a person’s overall safety and health that can affect every area of your life. It can cause you difficulties with memory, logic, reasoning and concentration. It could also make you feel irritable, fatigued, stressed and forgetful. Your performance level in your workplace will surely drop. In some chronic cases, severe insomnia causes people to experience hallucination. Not getting enough sleep or no sleep at all could make you very vulnerable to many illness and infections and could put your health in great danger.
